The Washington Monument was built in honor of our first president George Washington who led us to achieve our independance. The monuments is a host many exhibits and contains concession stands and restrooms. The Washington Monument is open every day from 9:00am-5:00pm. When visiting the washington monument tickets are required and can be achieved by a first come first served basis at the 15th street kiosk. Ticket Distribution begins at 8:30am. You can also call to reserve tickets, but it will cost a $1.50 for service charge and a $ .50 shipping and handling fee.
