Besides being a wonder for the eyes the Kenilworth Garden contributes to the botanical study and development of water plants and gardens. The founder of Kenilworth aquatic gardens W.B. Shaw began the garden as a hobby of his when he used to grow water lilies on a section of his land. Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is located northeast of Washington D.C on kenilworth ave between quarles st and douglas st near to the anacostia river. The garden is open every day from 7:00am-4:00pm.
