| Visiting England in 1871, Thomas Middleton 'discovered' the new game of lawn tennis and brought it home to Bermuda. From Bermuda the sport ws quickly introduced to the United State and has since become one of the world's most popular sporting pastimes. Bermuda offers a choice of over 80 all-weaher courts, many lit for night play. If you perfer something a little more fast paced, there's also squash... several international-size courts are available for use by visitors. | ||||
| There are 20 Tennis clubs in Bermuda. Proper tennis attire is preferred on all courts. Tournaments are held throughout the year. Spectators are welcome. For specific schedules contact the Bermuda Department of Tourism. | ||||
